The main part of the book consists of a list of 5,800 private firms and limited companies in the area covered. There is a "remarks" column for each business, followed by columns for "General Standing", "Monetary Standing", "Trade Extent" and "Mercantile Credit". There is also an Appendix dealing with "Changes, Amalgamations, New Firms etc" and a number of pages dealing with "Dissolutions of Partnership".
